Tracey Noseworthy Yoga
“As a Vinyasa Flow” teacher, I feel so lucky to love what I do! My yoga comes from my heart, my own practice, and I approach each class as my true self, with an element of humour and my own idiosyncrasies. I hope to inspire my students with a philosophy full of joy and playfulness. I enjoy watching when I teach, without judgement, witnessing growth, self expression and freedom in my students, from which I am truly inspired."Tracey holds a BA in English and a BA in Physical Education from McMaster University in Ontario, where she grew up, ACE (American Council of Exercise ~ Personal Trainer) and BCRPA (Registered Personal Trainer). After 25 years in the fitness industry, training everyone from Farrah Fawcett to George Wendt (classically known as Norm from 'Cheers'), pregnancy turned Tracey to yoga, teaching her to “breathe”, and slow down if only for a little while. After three years, inspired by teachers such as Baron Baptiste and Seane Corne, Trace did her first teacher training under Shiva Rea at the school of Sumatra yoga. In the last ten years, she has accumulated hours of workshop time under her favorite teachers, such as Ryan Leier, Christine Price Clark, Natalie Rousseau, Seane Corn, Clara Roberts-Oss, Janet Stone, Ana Forrest, and has had the blessing of teaching alongside Maria Filippone, a beautiful spirit and best friend. Daily, Trace continues to learn from her favourite inspirations, her students.Trace is the Originator of the Global Mala Project for Peace now running strong in its 8th year in Victoria, co-creator of the Binds and Beats Project with DJ Joshua James. She has taught workshops for the past three years at the Victoria Yoga Conference, the Everything Woman Conference, the Bellyfit Conference, and currently, has been pulled into the West Coast Hot Teacher Training Faculty.Trace actively teaches public and private classes in Victoria and workshops on and off the island. Her classes are full of her energy, bright light, and humour, yet they are focused, strong and welcoming. Trace greets you with a smile and knows you by name, a skill taught by Norm, of course!
