Let’s start with the absolute basics of L-base Acro Yoga. Together we will move through the fundamentals of bone stacking, weight transfer, building trust and supporting one another. Come with an openness to play and surprise yourself with what you are truly capable of. No partner is required for this workshop and no experience is needed.
The Mala Necklace is quickly becoming a noted personal accessory. It’s a popular addition to many outfits, seen in yoga classes or on a special altar at home. However, do you know its roots? Do you know where these powerful tools for prayer came from and what powers they hold? In this workshop, we breakdown the ins and outs behind the mala necklace, and their energetic components - the Rudraksha seed. We complete class by applying our new knowledge and participate in a uniquely designed Japa meditation.
The creator of the Shanti Collective, Rachel Hurst, began to truly appreciate her first mala when she used it as a tool for meditation. In Japa meditation, your hands stay busy while you use your mala to count to 108. Simultaneously, you use your voice to chant a soothing mantra, prayer or soulful tune. With all the energy bundled during this workshop’s community-based meditation, you’re sure to leave feeling at peace and more in tune with the power of malas + meditation.
(**Malas will not be provided. Bring a new or old mala to this workshop. Don’t have one? Come find the Shanti Collective at the Marketplace this weekend before the workshop - if you are signed up for this class, you will receive 15% off your mala necklace!)

A patient & powerful exploration of a flow-based practice.
Every heavy element in your body - carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, etc. - had to have been forged in the belly of an exploding star...you are literally made of star dust! Within each of us is the remnant glow of a supernova, just waiting to be reignited. In this thoughtful and playful class led by Cameron, you will sweat and smile as you awaken your body’s stellar memory by slowing down the normally vigorous vinyasa practice. We will take our time to explore the universal principles of precise alignment, core activation, intentional breath linked with movement, and powerful concentration as a means to light the spark. And throughout the class (of course) Cameron will riff about space, time, galaxies, black holes, and all the magnificence that is the Universe! Join in the fun and let yourself shine!
This class is open to all levels of practice: whether you're a seasoned practitioner or brand new to the wonderful world of yoga, get your toes to STAR DUST GLOW FLOW for a taste of the illuminated bliss that comes from slowing down!Walking the mystical path with practical feet, Angeles Arrien, cultural anthropologist and educator, described how to live fully present in the world, while balancing our lives, work and spirituality. The author of several books, including The Four-Fold Way, Angeles was a master teacher who taught passionately, leading hundreds of participants in ritual and carefully designed processes to awaken our creativity and launch us on our personal journeys. Her work, a synthesis of indigenous wisdom, psychology and comparative religions, emerged from her deep connection and respect for the land-based knowledge of many cultures, including the Maoris, the people of South Africa and her own Basque culture.
This workshop will explore several techniques and practices that Angie developed including the drum journey and the Universal Shapes assessment. We will work to integrate our experience through music, poetry and collage. Come prepared to learn more about the ways of the Leader, Healer, Visionary and Teacher and to participate in practices that will open your heart and mind to your life path.
Do you shy away from conflict? Do you feel stuck in a relationship and not sure what else to do? A lot of us are yearning to unleash our creativity, innovation and human potential to change our world. Yet, where most of us meet our greatest resistance is in our conflicts with others. We are either afraid of hurting someone else or losing our own self-respect. Our bodies and minds are so interconnected that even just bringing this topic up is probably causing you to clench up somewhere in your jaw, chest or stomach. Learn to use this energy of conflict to transform obstacles, embody renewed vitality and apply the principles of yoga for breakthrough solutions. Become a warrior for peace in your everyday life.
